The Northstar V8 features a lightweight cast-aluminum block, dual
overhead camshafts, and four valves per cylinder. It delivers impressive
torque and 275 horsepower in ESC, and 300 horsepower in ETC, making
the ETC the most powerful front-wheel-drive production luxury coupe
in the world. Design improvements have been incorporated to deliver
lower emissions, improved mileage, and quieter operation while running
on regular unleaded fuel.
